2012 Pop Culture

The 1960s was the era of pop culture and hippies. It was a time when the handmade was valued again. Raffia, flowers and string adorned bodies and copper jewellery reigned. This series acknowledges the much maligned use of copper along with the use of coloured enamel. Opposing colours of enamel are placed side by side so they dazzle and vibrate off each other and the enamel is stoned back in places moving the colour and textural finish.
