2014 Finding Fault

In this series I observe Google ring finding images. These are mass produced and stamped out of low grade metal. My process is to sketch the ring finding and then remake it using my sketch. Irregularities creep into this process and the resulting works become quite different and end up looking nothing like their mass produced ubiquitous origins. Here I explore the perceived perfection of mass production in an online environment with a subjective response.
